Line of Flight

Encaustic and pigment stick on cradled panel
Line of Flight captures the fleeting presence of place — a landscape not precisely remembered, but felt. Etched with fine incised marks and softened through layers of encaustic and pigment, the image recalls windblown grasses across a bog or lowland, their movements tracing invisible stories in the air. The horizon floats in a haze of distance, as if the land itself is vanishing into memory. This piece dwells in the tension between what was left and what is still longed for.
