The Landscapes of Hiraeth
Encaustic meditations on longing, loss, and the landscapes of memory
The Landscapes of Hiraeth is a visual meditation on the spaces where memory and place converge. Each encaustic surface holds layers of history — some visible, some buried beneath wax and time. These works are not landscapes in the literal sense, but emotional terrains: places shaped by longing, loss, and the quiet persistence of what endures. Here, the land is more than backdrop. It is witness, mourner, and keeper of stories — holding traces of those who once belonged, and the ache of their absence.
Wild Botanicals
Wild Botanicals celebrates the untamed vitality of the natural world through vibrant, abstracted florals. Inspired by the luminosity of alcohol inks, the delicate webbing of shellac burns, and the luscious depth of encaustic, these works emerge in an alchemical dance of air, ink, and fire. Each piece carries a sense of mystery and play, revealing blossoms that feel both otherworldly and deeply alive.

Curanderas
This series honors the spirit of the Curandera — traditional female healer, guide, and spiritual guardian. Here, the grandmothers gather like a murmuration of birds: distinct, yet moving in harmony, their presence both protective and tender. Each figure embodies an elder’s gift — Compassion, Love, Kindness, and Generosity — whispered into the world as blessing and balm. Together they invite us to listen, to remember, and to walk in the wisdom of those who came before.

Collages and Mixed Media
These works layer images, ephemera, textures and other materials to create visual narratives that move between memory, place, and imagination. Each piece becomes a dialogue between what is revealed and what is obscured, inviting the viewer into a space of reflection and discovery.
