Mourning Fog

Synthograph, ink, encaustic on Encausticbord
Mourning Fog is a dreamlike landscape of layered mist, fractured texture, and fading light — a visual elegy for the countless who left familiar shores under duress. A lone cottage stands silhouetted against a fractured sky, tethered and dissolving all at once. Embedded ink and pastels, and wax surface treatments, deepen the sense of both memory and erosion. It is a place of thresholds — where belonging turns to departure, and where the landscape seems to hold its breath in mourning. Framed.
