Kintsugi-inspired Bowl

Shrines, Totems & Vessels
This Kintsugi-inspired Bowl was crafted with the Japanese practice of kintsugi in mind. This encaustic vessel honors breakage as an integral part of an object’s history. Gilded seams and irregular edges do not conceal damage, but illuminate it—marking places of rupture as sites of transformation and strength. The bowl becomes a meditation on repair, resilience, and the beauty that emerges when what has been broken is held, tended, and made whole again.
